sounds like your husband is hanging onto the thought they will change and be one big happy family. He has to come to the point and realize it is NOT going to happen. He may see how your family is and that is what he wants with his. Sooner or later he will see the truth.(can you tell I have been here before in your shoes?)

I think that's exactly what is going on. Although, I'm not sure he will ever see the truth. I hope he does though!
