We have a beloved cockatiel who we've had for almost 5 years now. She was wonderful when it was just Roger and I and Snickers(our cockatiel). She had all of our attention, and she was allowed out of her cage as she wanted. But lately she's just driving us nuts with chirping constantly, and flying away all the time to various rooms. I'm just getting tired all her pooping (gross I know ), and I just really don't want to take care of her anymore, I just don't have time. Long story short, I need some prayer and guidance on whether we should try to find a new home for her (which we really don't want to do since we really wouldn't know how well she is being treated), put her to sleep or just put up with her. (although I haev been praying for God to take her quickly lately so that we don't really have to make a decision ).

awww I'm so sorry. We have an uncle who had this same problem with his cockatiel as well. It's amazing how possesive a bird can be! Having issues with pets is no fun. We have two dogs & three cats and I can't imagine when the time comes to make some decisions . I'll be for the right decision for your family & beloved bird. Victoria

Praying for you...could you find an elderly woman to take the bird? that way you would know cockatiel would be spoiled rotten and have all the attention.

We actually found a woman that would treat her like a baby. I don't know if I could give her up though I know God is working on give DH patience, because I discussed this with him last nigh, and seems much calmer towards Snickers. We'll see what some time does though.
