My ped told me not to let Zach eat any nuts until he is three. He doesn't seem to be allergic to any food he's tried so far. How many of you gave your child/ren nuts before three?

Elli eats them both. She got it kind of by accident the first time, and didnt react, so we let her have them. She doesnt eat nuts that often, but we will give her pb and j sandwiches

We did peanut butter by 12mos or before. No allergies to that. Nuts I was more concerned about choking than allergies.

Yeah, I don't want to give him whole nuts, but I wonder if it's okay if I give him a piece of a cookie that might contain small pieces of nuts or a dessert that might contain nuts or something.

Ya we did. I guess I wasn't concerned too much about the nut thing. I just couldn't imagine not giving them PB&J before 3yo.
