Do they do it this early? Zach seems to be taking just one 3 hour nap in the morning. Has he really given up the afternoon nap since his morning one is so long?

Elli kind of varies. But there are a few days when Ill let her get away with it, but most of the time I put her down and she can either play until Im convinced she isnt really tired or (what happens most of the time) she throws a fit until she falls asleep. So to answer your question I think it varies, but I wouldnt give it up yet.

We do try to have him at least be in his crib for a while, whether he plays or falls asleep, but usually what happens he throws everything out and then he gets hysterical since he doesn't have his blankie or nuki anymore. But I would like to start teaching him that he doesn't necessarily have to sleep, but he does have to have quiet time. He might be a bit young for that still, but maybe he'll get into a habit then.

I do remember Josh stopped napping twice when he was about a year old. He did nap in the afternoon all the way up until he was in 1st grade all day! Heck I'd take a daily nap in the afternoon if I could!
